The hydraulically powered Mini-Grundotugger provides a trenchless method for replacing plastic, copper and steel services. It splits 1/2- to 3/4-in. copper and 1/2- to 2-in. PE and PVC house connections up to 100 ft. in length with minimal disruption. It can be operated by a one- or two-person crew, and pulling times can average up to 15 fpm (dependent on soil conditions). Two models are available providing 9,000 and 12,000 lbs. of pullback. Various attachments and cutting head options match a range of host and product pipe characteristics.
