Saint-Gobain Technical Fabrics recently introduced FibaCrete Concrete Reinforcement Mesh, an alkali-resistant fiberglass material designed specially to fortify concrete applications. It is ideal as a replacement to wire mesh for use in sidewalks, patio pads, concrete countertops and driveways. It can also be used vertically on block and poured foundation walls for extra reinforcement, especially in areas prone to seismic activity or shifting. It's six times lighter than steel mesh, can be cut to size using scissors or a knife, at has a 1" x 1" grid pattern.
